Prescription eye drops

RESTASIS®

RESTASIS® and RESTASIS MultiDose® are not artificial tears. They are prescription eye drops. Artificial tears are over-the-counter lubricants that help moisten the eyes and provide temporary symptom relief, but they do not increase the eyes’ ability to produce their own tears.

Unlike artificial tears, RESTASIS® treats the underlying cause of a type of Chronic Dry Eye by reducing inflammation and increasing the eyes’ ability to produce tears.

RESTASIS® was developed specifically to treat a type of Chronic Dry Eye with decreased tear production due to inflammation.

It can help increase the eyes’ natural tear production with time and consistent use. In a study, patients using RESTASIS® saw an increase in tear production at 6 months. Individual results may vary.

Xiidra

Xiidra is a prescription eye drop used to treat the signs and symptoms of dry eye disease. The only FDA-approved dry eye medication specifically for both the signs and symptoms of dry eye.

Dry eye disease can be caused by inflammation on the surface of the eye. Xiidra is specifically designed to target a source of that inflammation.

Do not use Xiidra if you are allergic to any of its ingredients. Seek medical care immediately if you get any symptoms of an allergic reaction.

CEQUA

CEQUA™ (cyclosporine ophthalmic solution) 0.09% is a topical solution that helps to increase the production of natural tears in your eye. Dry eye disease may affect the ability of your eyes to produce its own tears.

CEQUA is the first and only chronic dry eye treatment formulated with NCELL™ Technology. Our formulation is an advancement in chronic dry eye treatment, delivering medicine right where your eyes need it most.

Do not use CEQUA if you are allergic to any of its ingredients. Be careful not to allow the vial tip to touch your eye or any surfaces, to help avoid potential eye injury or contamination of the product.

CEQUA should not be used while wearing contact lenses. If contact lenses are worn, they should be removed prior to using CEQUA and may be reinserted after 15 minutes.

Klarity-C

Cyclosporine is an immunosuppressant. Cyclosporine ophthalmic (for use in the eye) can increase tear production that has been reduced by inflammation in the eye(s).

Cyclosporine ophthalmic is used to treat chronic dry eye that may be caused by inflammation.

Cyclosporine ophthalmic may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.
